Breathe
Breathe
It feels so right to be talking about this right now. I feel a little like I’m on repeat right now. People this is so important, forgive me for the repeat.
We are a world that seems to be holding our breathe right now, or breathing shallow to keep from inhaling either our own carbon dioxide or bad air from smoke or from just being inside too much. After pondering this a bit and visiting with others about the issue I came up with some thoughts. You see, lots of people don’t even realize that this is happening. I think subconsciously we tend to breathe more shallow when our faces are covered. If you spend all day in a face mask you are programming yourself to shallow breathe. PLEASE don’t get me wrong I advocate the wearing of masks in public. But many people now are not only conditioning themselves but also fearful of what they might breathe in and that opens a whole other can of worms for another discussion.
Breathe Deep
We are meant to breathe deeply into our lungs in order for the oxygen to transfer into our red blood cells to be utilized by our organs. That’s the simplified version. Lets put it this way breathing your own breath back in for hours can be harmful. We are not supposed to breathe our own carbon dioxide back into our bodies. You can develop migraines, loose energy, get tingling in limbs, nausea, even chest pains. There are things you can do to oxygenate your blood and breathing exercises to deepen your oxygen uptake in your lungs. So first off of course the foods and beverages we drink often have just the properties we need to get oxygen uptake in our blood. One of my favorites is Tulsi Tea . The properties of Tulsi are vast and rejuvenating. The phyto-nutrients in Tulsi or (Holy Basil) have been cherished the world over for the ability support all the processes of the body. some say in the east that the plant is sacred and has the ability to enlighten the person who consumes it. Other teas to consider to help with breathing are the Breath of Mandarin, Antoinette’s Garden and the Herbal Smoking Blend. There Is a tincture in our collection called Sinus Clear that I keep on hand for those days when the air is bad and I get congested because of it. Because bad air affects our whole system take extra Vitamin C, especially if you have been exposed to smoke inhalation.
